The idea that a eunuch was foremost a homosexual is poorly argued. A eunuch is a man without testicles, and the allusions to femininity therein exist because the eunuch lacks a full set of male genitalia, specifically the parts that generate testosterone. Testosterone is inarguably the most important hormone in determining many male traits, thus, those lacking it can easily be seen as tending toward femininity. The article's worst flaw, however, is it's blatant, and I can only assume, intentional, ignorance of the passages in the Bible that explicitly reference homosexuality. I say explicitly because in these cases there is no mincing of words. In Leviticus homosexual intercourse is twice called an abomination. Paul equates homosexuality with other notable sins such as adultery, sexual immorality, thievery, etc. While the New Testament make it clear that Jesus sacrifice fulfilled the Law with a more perfect forgiveness through faith, that does not mean that we are free to sin, or that actions which were sins before the Resurrection are no longer proscribed. So in all reality, the moment that we decide to make Jesus our Lord and Ruler over our lives, we essentially make the choice to be changed and transformed. It is true, God gave us will power to conquer the petty, natural addictions and bondages that tend to plague mankind, but his hand is never too far to reach in and help. Some people can pick up some Nicorete and kick the habit, but some people truly do need God to change them and to deliver them from addiction-- so in essence.. we really are never COMPLETELY ever able to change without God.
